We’re on a mad testing spree, testing out all the paid to < insert something > services. This time, we’re getting paid as well - two birds with one stone. Onwards with the review.
Bloggerwave is one of the lesser known paid to blog services in the blogging scene. Hailing from Denmark, Bloggerwave opened its doors early this year.
After registration and approval of Zhongg.com, we’re presented with 2 opportunities - each worth $10. Apparently, the opportunities given to you are based on your blogs’ Alexa score and Google PageRank.

The Internet never cease to amaze us. Time and time again, we’ve encountered websites and web services beyond your imagination. With the dawn of the Web 2.0 age, social driven media is stronger than ever; with sites like Facebook, Youtube, Myspace, Lastfm, and the like, filling the headlines. Today we take an alternative route to see the negative aspect of social media, which really points to the nature of human itself. Complaints.
Let’s be honest, we complain on a regular basis. There’s just no end to it, people and things always seem to piss us off. Whether it be your day job as a cashier or people in cinemas with their freaking mobile phones on loud mode (You people suck!), complaints are everywhere. We need a place to let it all out, and what better place then the Internet where we can do it anonymously? We bring you 3 websites whose sole purpose is to share complaints.

Let’s face it - going anywhere in Malaysia is like walking around in a maze with your eyes closed. The cities and towns are poorly planned and the roads are redirected at whim. Worse if you’re traveling to somewhere you haven’t been before. Maps are good, but it doesn’t show less prominent places like your favorite roadside stalls.
Thankfully, now there’s a website to go to for directions. Dromoz.com (a striking similarity to dmoz.com) indexes real places in Malaysia. Dromoz explains itself:
Dromoz is a user-contributed and user-maintained directory of real, physical places in Malaysia. It is NOT about websites and it is NOT a search engine. Instead, Dromoz is an experimental project to test the usefulness of a web resource on actual places; its content is built and maintained entirely by volunteers.

Open Source Salary
Filed Under Reviews | Leave a Comment
Open Source Salary (OSS) is actually the website’s name. In a nutshell, OSS lists salaries across IT-based occupations and locations. Note that OSS only caters to the IT field. There, you can add your salary or view a list of salaries.
According to the site:
Open Source Salaries introduces simplicity, honesty and the concept of open source into salary information across the globe for us in IT.
In its Google like simplicity, OSS has no registration or advertising hoops to jump through. OSS has been designed to be simple and fast but also in being open, OSS has something unavailable anywhere else—you can download all the salaries to prove your point.
Open Source Salaries aims to make the playing field a lot fairer for everyone.
Adding your salary is pretty painless as it doesn’t require registration. Just fill in the data and you’re done. You can then view the list of salaries in your region. Currently there aren’t many entries from Malaysia.
At this point, there isn’t much to OSS besides adding and viewing. It doesn’t even have list sorting yet. However, we expect the database to grow as the site becomes more well-known.

Safari for Windows now
Filed Under Reviews | 3 Comments

You read it right - we never thought it would happen but it did. Safari now supports Windows (XP & Vista). It is released under public beta 3 so expect a some bugs here and there. With this latest move, Apple has up the browser wars a notch.
Our experience with it has been quite good overall. Take note that we’ve never used Safari before so there might be a few things that we’ve missed.

Dubbing itself “The free website monitoring service that doesn’t suck”, it does what it claims. No fancy hi-tech stuff, just plain simple website monitoring. Don’t get us wrong, in this case, simple is good.
Signing up takes a minute or less. Log in, add your site and you’re done - seriously, there isn’t anything else to do. Basically, the system will email you if your site is down; additional alert options such as RSS feed and Yahoo Widget are also available. No statistics whatsoever. We just love the down to earth approach and this is one of the sites that even your grandparents can use
Websites to monitor : 100
Monitoring frequency: every 10 minutes
Alert options: Email, RSS and Yahoo Widget
