Validate your Web2.0ness now!

With the infinite number of websites on the Internet, how do you differentiate your site? What separates the men from the boys is precisely 1.0. While silly Web 1.0 boys are playing with their paintshopped .bmp images on tables, the Web 2.0 men are braving the wwwilderness, armed with bright oversized fonts and unspeakable names.
Does your site have what it takes to be truly Web2.0? Find out now! Zhongg proudly presents 2 tools that will show you just how Web2.0 you really are - www.certifyr.com and web2.0validator.com.
Certifyr.com
Certifyr expects you to be honest with yourself and check the following criteria it deems as requirements for a Web2.0 site:
- Big fonts
- Oversized input fields
- Silly or misspelled name (CHECKED!)
- “Beta”
- AJAX
- Community content
- “Something”-sharing
- Bright colors and/or pink (CHECKED!)
- Rounded corners (CHECKED!)
- Use of Google maps
- Founder has a blog (CHECKED!)
- RSS (CHECKED!)
- Tagging (CHECKED!)
- Creative commons
- Wiki
- Podcast/video/mobile content
6 out of 16 is rather average
and therefore Zhongg.com scored a measly 38%. Despite that we still passed the test and was awarded

BANZAI!
Web2.0validator.com
Web2.0validator takes a more technical route to evaluating your site, taking in account many unnecessary points such as
- Is in public beta? Yes!
- Uses the prefix “meta” or “micro”? Yes!
- Uses tags ? Yes!
- Appears to be web 3.0 ? Yes!
- Makes reference to Technorati ? Yes!
- Faviconized ? Yes!
- Links Slashdot and Digg ? Yes!
- Mentions Wisdom Of Crowds ? Yes!
- Has prototype.js ? Yes!
- Refers to del.icio.us ? Yes!
- Uses microformats ? Yes!
- Uses Semantic Markup? Yes!
- Appears to over-punctuate ? Yes!
- Appears to have Adsense ? Yes!
- Uses the “blink” tag? Yes!
The above points are those that were passed for Zhongg, there were a lot more that we failed. It appears to actually parse your site (I think) as the results gotten are rather accurate. Granted that most of the points are absurd, some of them are valid. No percentage or certificates to brag here
Hope they include these features in the next version.
So how Web2.0 are you? We won’t laugh… promise
