The Internet never cease to amaze us. Time and time again, we’ve encountered websites and web services beyond your imagination. With the dawn of the Web 2.0 age, social driven media is stronger than ever; with sites like Facebook, Youtube, Myspace, Lastfm, and the like, filling the headlines. Today we take an alternative route to see the negative aspect of social media, which really points to the nature of human itself. Complaints.
Let’s be honest, we complain on a regular basis. There’s just no end to it, people and things always seem to piss us off. Whether it be your day job as a cashier or people in cinemas with their freaking mobile phones on loud mode (You people suck!), complaints are everywhere. We need a place to let it all out, and what better place then the Internet where we can do it anonymously? We bring you 3 websites whose sole purpose is to share complaints.
BossBitching
The name speaks for itself. From the site: “Boss Bitching is a user driven social content website that allows anonymous postings of stories about bosses.” Here is where you can read or post your own complaints about bosses. Looking through their archives of sob stories, there’s quite a number of sad chaps out there with horrible bosses.
Our favorite part is how bosses are organized:
- The Credit Stealer (17)
- The Criticizer (18)
- The Insensitive (33)
- The Micro Manager (29)
- The Tyrant (33)
- All Purpose Asshole (138)
All Purpose Assholes are always in abundance.
Other people will then rate your complaints - Boss is a Prick, Sounds Bad or Stop Complaining. Occasionally, others will post comments to pity or rebuke the poster as they deem fit. Though there isn’t much to it, these souls will at least get their complaints out of their system. Bonus points for helping job seekers identify horrible bosses.
JobVent
Looking at the bigger picture, we have the company itself. JobVent is where (ex)employees vent their frustrations about companies they’ve worked with. JobVent is rather upfront with the facts - real company names are posted. There’s even a chart listing the best hated and loved job (some posters apparently post their admiration instead of complaints…ugh).
Each complaint is attached with ratings of the job:
- Pay
- Respect
- Benefits
- Job Security
- Work Life Balance
- Career Potential / Growth
- Location
- Co-Worker Competence
- Work Environment
These factors will then be added together to be used to determine how good or bad a job ranks among others.
Compared to BossBitching, JobVent’s coverage is more extensive. The site is also more useful due to the name of the companies being revealed. This will allow potential job seekers to gauge a company’s performanace and also to brace themselves for the worst. A useful feature we would like to mention is the RSS feeds for each company, so that current employers and employees alike can keep up to date with the latest vents
MyBiggestComplaint
We’ve covered enough work-based complaints, moving on to general complaints. MyBiggestComplaint is one of the newest websites to join in the Complaints 2.0 madness. At MyBiggestComplaint, anybody can post up their complaints - with pictures and videos too. Complaints range from “Erectile Dysfunction Ads During Family Sporting Events” to “Automatic Flushing Toilets”.
A quick complain form is there for when you need to let some steam out immediately. This will save you from registering. Complaints are tagged and anyone can reply to them. Rating is done simply using the 5 stars system.
Among the websites we’ve checked, MyBiggestComplaint has the best interface and relevancy to the general public. Even if you choose not to participate, there are a lot of interesting and funny reads out there.

Hi there! To have stuff like this delivered to you daily, just subscribe to our full feeds. It's easy to share this now with the world .

Just a note to let your users know we’re also accepting complaints by email complaints AT mybiggestcomplaint.com. This works great if your boss or co-workers are staring at your screen. Just shoot an email and your done.
Great to have you here
You guys heard ‘em, complaining is now easier than ever.
That is an interesting idea, but I see no real purpose for it. You can always be tracked.
@Bryan - We’ve made every effort to keep ‘anonymous’ anonymous. We don’t require registration, but encourage it. We allow registered users to post and complain anonymously at any time.
We’re not stupid, we do have rules! It’s a trade off, but one we think serves everyone best. For example, we don’t allow slamming a non-public figure. You can complain about ‘my neighbor’ but ‘my neighbor zhongg’ is going to have a tough time surviving.
As far as purpose - not sure if you’re talking about purpose in emailing a complaint or in just complaining? Our test groups showed us that the majority of the people just feel a whole lot better after they get something off their chest. Many people don’t have a blog or podcast on which to express themselves. Some users don’t want to litter their own blogs with an off topic rant, or might want to have an anonymous rant. Regardless of the reason someone complains, an overwhelming portion of users seem to say “yeah, that bugs me, too.”
If you’re talking about purpose in emailing a complaint - some people just feel better doing it that way. Some users don’t want to sit and peck away with our screen showing for 2 minutes with nosey co-workers around. They’d rather do it from outlook or thunderbird which is much less conspicuous. Email complaints are anonymous unless the email is sent from a registered users address, in which case the email is credited to the user unless they indicate a request for anonymity.
And Brian, we look forward to hearing your complaints!:) (How many times has anybody said that to you?)
BossBitching should be under the NSFW category
Hehe, you could tell your boss you’re glad he/she is not like them.
Hey!! What about “VentBox.com”?!?!?
We’re a pretty hot complains app!
Looks awesome! I’ll definitely add it our notable mentions for now. A review *might* be in the pipeline
We recently started a site called Job Jabber. Currently it is a place for employees to rate and review their jobs and companies, totally anonymously, and have those reviews be available for the online community.
We would like the site to develop into a tool for job seekers, and a place where users regularly talk about their job experiences, company news, or any other work-related topics.

I like “http://www.OfficeGupshup.com” - Office Gupshup better for that matter. It provides a much broader set of services to the user.
BTW, “Office Gupshup” in english means “Office Gossip” and this site is really all about Office stuff…they have a wonderful forum also, where you can share your views and opinions on a plethora of things.
You can actually appraise your boss, pass verdicts on him/her, discuss office gossip, office romance, workplace revenge, office pranks, office politics, dressing disasters etc.
Office Gupshup also have a forum to discuss almost about anything - movie reviews, jokes, poetry, travel places, great restaurants, recipes and what not.
Officegupshup simply rocks man…from my side this site gets 10/10
Sorry, I forgot to provide a clickable URL, the URL for Office Gupshup (aka Office Gossip) is:
OfficeGupshup.com
There are no two ways about it. this site rocks!!!!!!!! thanks for recommending this great site.
Office gupshup is the place to be
If you like to keep things a bit more private, please consider radiocorridor.com. It is a site where you can only login if you have a company email address. So at least your rants stay inside company walls.
Note that unlike facebook, we’re committed to keep the subscriptions private to companies only.
Give us a try and let us know what you think.
Thanks,
Reddy
It used to be a good place. Now? nothing.
my first time buy good from internet but turn out shit
because i still haven’t receive my wallet from this people yet and the payment went through i have email them many time all they did return mess’ twice and given me the same question payment reject check your bank and i told them i know what went in/out from my bank accounts. this is my bad experiencing.
Ebay seems to allow power sellers to do as they please when it comes to consumers. I placed a bid for an item
& won with power seller…
Seller: csnstores ( 20414) Item # 170227108815.
(866) 263-8325 e-mail: ebay@csnstores.com
I was told that the item had been discontinued & that my money would be refunded. OK no problem. I continued my search for a similar item on the internet & again on ebay. Where I found the item up for bid from the same seller that told me it was discontinued. I contacted ebay & paypal to file a complaint. Still no problem, until the seller after a week had passed had not refunded my money. Paypal helped me get my money back & ebay would not let me file a complaint or leave feedback about the seller. Ebay’s rules & regulations really only apply to the consumer & seller that they deem to be “small time” I would never have taken the time to write this in the past, but I am tired of being taken advantage of and I will no longer be quiet . I’m going to take a stand for my rights and I have the right to be pissed off!!!
